This is in response to the DHS report that became public recently. I will add that my understanding of the 9 page document that was released to the public is only a summary of the original which is much longer and detailed.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said she was briefed before the release of a controversial intelligence assessment and that she stands by the report sent to law enforcement that lists veterans as a terrorist risk to the U.S. and defines "rightwing extremism" as including groups opposed to abortion and immigration.
The outcry resulted in a demand from the head of the American Legion to meet with Ms. Napolitano, a request the DHS chief said she would honor next week when she returns to Washington from her current tour of the U.S.-Mexican border.
"The document on right-wing extremism sent last week by this departmentīs Office of Intelligence and Analysis is one in an ongoing series of assessments to provide situational awareness to state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies on the phenomenon and trends of violent radicalization in the United States," Ms. Napolitano said in a statement.

"I was briefed on the general topic, which is one that struck a nerve as someone personally involved in the Timothy McVeigh prosecution," Ms. Napolitano said.
"Let me be very clear: we monitor the risks of violent extremism taking root here in the United States. We donīt have the luxury of focusing our efforts on one group; we must protect the country from terrorism whether foreign or homegrown, and regardless of the ideology that motivates its violence," Ms. Napolitano said.

Looks like she may have read "MEIN KAMPF"
I don't find this DHS report or Janet Napolitano very amusing.

if that is true, where is the report on the hundreds of thousands of Somali muslims living in Minnesota? Those are already involved in terrorism.
Why has she not interviewed Bill Ayers, or ELF..........

Personally, I think there is something very wrong with some of the people selected for the new administration. They are either idiots or traitors. I'll let them decide what.

I don't think the two are necessarily mutually exclusive. They could easily be both, John.

An agenda driven narrow minded course of action, in spite of the consequences, is idiotic!
Traitors, in the sense that they do not adhere to clauses in the constitution that they do not agree with. Namely, The Right to Keep and Bear Arms, State Rights and Individual Rights! If they can't outlaw what they want to, they will tax it out of existence. Or withhold a States rightful share of Federal Funding!
It has come to a point where the people and the States are finally rising up and responding. I am personally confident that the voice of the people will be heard, but it may be a long hard road getting there!

Because they're not members of the GOP or the NRA, and unfortunately, I feel that is what this is all about.
Look at Barack Obama's hand wave; remind you of anyone?
idiots: 2. imbeciles; blockheads
traitor: a person who betrays his country, a cause, or a trust;
Well ;John and Carole, seems to me that they's qualified for both.

In some ways they are "both" . When you disregard the constitution, in my opinion you fall into both categories

Well stated Rich!
They have abandoned the constitution in many ways. Not just State rights and 2a type issues, they have trampled privacy issues, personal property issues and many more.
I think that is why we are finally seeing a somewhat Libertarian viewpoint spreading amongst both parties. Small government, less taxes, fiscal responsibility and overall a less intrusive government.
We now have a government that is trying to appease the UN and the extreme left. They have abandoned the basis and fabric that is America. To many people have forgotten that we are a Republic, not a democracy...... and it appears we are on our way to being a Socialist type government. We are watching it happen right before our eyes.

I'm very proud to be considered a "domestic terrorist". I attended a Tea Party rally here in Huntsville the other day, and Napolitano's remarks were not well received by the assembled crowd - a calmly, organized and law-abiding crowd I might add.

I just E-mailed my two senaters, and calmly expressed my lack of amusment over this, and asked that Napolitano resign.
FWIW: at least I feel better now.

Its sad to say that we now call people who partake in "civil discourse" as "right wing extremist or terrorist" Great job attending the tea party........

Just my opinion. The people wanted change and voted for it in the last election. Most wanted change over all else and were unwilling to listen to any questions regarding Mr. Obama's policies. Now they have what they voted for and many are becoming very uncomfortable with what they see happening. Over time I think that the mood of the people is going to swing back to the center and maybe even a little to the right. I also e-mailed my senator recently, however, my concern was the situation in Mexico and the claim of 90% of cartel firearms coming from the US. I asked a bunch of questions and requested a reply. I got a notice of receipt of the e-mail and was basically told that he needed time to consider the questions and formulate a reply.

I haven't heard back from my senators yet, not even an E-reply, but I did change E-address and I'm sure I did not use the old one when I sent the Es.
They wanted change alright, but the grass ain't any greener is it?

Question: Is this the same Napolitano who had the bright idea of installing cameras on Arizona's highways to enforce the speed limit, when she was the Governor of AZ? I guess she is the same.
Her bright plan, included the hiring of a private company who would handle the cameras inside marked police vehicles. A crazy gunman shot such a car yesterday, killing a civilian camera operator. What a pity she is not in the Governor seat now, so the deceased person's relatives can sue her.

John, It one and the same Janet Napolitano! She also served as an attorney for Anita Hill. Who testified in the U.S. Senate that then U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas had sexually harassed her ten years earlier when she was his subordinate at the federal EEOC.

Mr. Obama seems to be establishing some sort of track record with his appointments. Trouble is It's the wrong kind of record. How many people did he select for appointments that turned out to have problems paying their taxes? This Napolitano seems to simply be in way over her head.

"We will see pigs fly, before leftests ever conquer this Nation"
Sadly, it has come to pass! Swine Flu and Leftists in control! :(
