I mentioned the guy in the current administration who repeated the Mao line about "all power growing from the barrel of a gun" and how it seemed that Obama was on a jihad against the Second Amendment despite the 48 states with CCW and the FORTY with shall-issue laws. :(

We also agreed that it was strange that an administration and a DNC leadership AND Hollywood is so enamored of tyrant thug dictators like Castro, Chavez, Ortega, Putin, Kim Il-Jong, that guy in Iran, and others like Mugabe. Seems they must envy them that kind of power. Makes you have to ask yourself if they want the same power in THEIR hands? :nono:

I think there is something in the way the brains of actors, writers and the like are wired (there are some notable exceptions). They have an oversupply of sympathy for the peceived underdog and a lack of common sense in many matters.

Just because he signed the bill to allow CCW in National Parks means little. It never really was a big issue with him or his Chicago machine. Did you listen in the campaign. At almost every chance he ran his mouth about ENDING all CCW in the U.S. by Federal fiat and the States can pound sand. :scared:

He knows that we have 48 states with CCW and FORTY of those are shall-issue. He also knows that the PEOPLE have overwhelmingly voted for CCW either directly or in the candidates they elect and support. NONE of this is lost on him. He does NOT care about the will of the people. He has a chip on his shoulder, hates the Constitution because it limits almighty government and looks at the United States as a "crime in progress". :nono:

I understand your view, but do you have any factual information to back this up? Such as when he said he wanted to end all CCW, and statements like that. I'm not saying they don't exist, but that I don't know of them.

I don't have a problem with not liking him for his politics, I'm certainly no fan myself, but I'd like to see some facts that back up these statements.

I don't have the vids stored anymore but at least twice in campaign speeches NEVER in a debate or away from "friendly" media he did complain about the existence of CCW. He implied that it was an "aberration" and "unpopular" and he would like to see it ended. He literally DID say ended.

When he wants to talk guns he's ALWAYS surrounded by virulently anti-gun politicians and always starts off with his "respect for hunters and target shooters". Some supposedly PRO-gun pols talk like that too. That's why when they tell me a guy is pro-RKBA but only talks hunting and target shooting I KNOW he's talking out both sides of his mouth.

With the heavy-handed approach of this Administration re: such issues as cramming down the health "care" bill why would anyone give him benefit of ANY doubt. Nobody who knows Chicago politics or Liberals or Democrats would fall for that.

That's why my baloney detector goes off whenever some candidate crows about being a life long hunter or an NRA Member (until they check) and promises not to interfere with hunting and target shooting. It's as Suzanna Hupp has being saying for over 15 years:
"The Second Amendment is not about duck hunting."

As a first term President, we will not see his darkest side. As a second term President, the Union itself will be at risk. As he can not achieve his agenda without treading on rights granted the individual States by the U.S. Constitution.

I do not believe the Founding Fathers ever envisioned a central government with the authority to micro manage the daily lives of it's citizens. Nor, is there any evidence that the President who preserved the Union in it's darkest hour had such thoughts.

However, the Socialists Nazi's, Socialist Fascists and Communists had such designs from the very beginning of their movements. History has shown us that Gun Control and People Control go hand and hand.

If we all did our part by instructing a few people who fear guns how to shoot. If we all obtained Voter Registration Forms to sign up a few voters. If we all drove a person who would not otherwise make it to the polls on election day. We would not be so fearful for the future of this country.

Please. You think he's going to win a second term?? I don't think even the Democrats have a voter fraud operation capable of pulling THAT one off. [Unless they manage to shove through express amnesty, which I'm sure is their plan.] This guy's such an electoral boat anchor for the Dems, I wouldn't be surprised if he's "martyred" before the end of his FIRST term. The pubbies should be funding security for the guy totally separate from the Secret Service.

OTOH, having the drooling moron Biden as next-in-line is a pretty good insurance policy.

Even if there is the slightest chance, we should be working to stop it. Look what Johnson pulled off after the assassination of JFK. If Obama should meet his end prior to his term expiring, Biden will carry on with a simular Anti Gun Agenda.

2012 will not be a cakewalk for the Republicans or a Pro-Gun Rights Democrat!

hit both Obama and Biden AFTER the elections and we can get Michelle Bachman as Speaker then it's a whole different story. The ideal situation would be:

Sarah Palin as Veep
John Bolton as Secretary of State
Ken Blackwell to the SCOTUS
Fred Thompson as A.G.
Col. Allen West to head border security.
Gen. Honore to the JCS
A laundry list of FORMER "czars".
The END of universal "health Care"
NO MORE "too big to fail" bailouts.
An end to Fannie and Freddie
Disolve the BATF or at least cut off the "F" forever.
BUILD THE WALL not just a fence.
Station about 12 THOUSAND Marines along the border and untie the Border Patrol and
DEA on the southern border.
STOP bailing out failed socialist countries.
BUILD at least 20 new nuke plants and 30 new refineries.
Make English the national language and stop the multi-lingual gov't forms.

Did I miss anything? Oops. Constitutional national CCW for Bloomy's birthday.

I don't have to ask. The answer is obvious.
