In discussing the 2nd Amendment and the RKBA, questions always arise as to what the Founders actually said and wrote regarding the RKBA at the time the Constitution and Bill of Rights were being written. There's a handy little pamphlet put out by Shotgun News entitled Original Intent by one of their columnists, Clayton Cramer, that provides a modest amount of useful information on this. It's worth having around, and if you feel generous they make it available at bulk rates so you can buy a bunch and hand them out, or leave them at your local range, or whatever.

Cost is $1.00 for a single copy, $7.50 for ten copies, $25.00 for 50 copies, and $45 for 100 copies. You can order by calling 1-800-260-6397.

It is not complete. For example, I went looking for Tench Coxe's statement about the 2nd Amendment including "all the terrible implements of the soldier" and I didn't find it in the book. I had to find it on the Internet. But there are a lot of pertinent historical citations, as well as other background material on the RKBA as envisioned by the Founders. It's useful to have it all in one convenient little booklet.

Thanks. I'll put ordering some on the do-do list and hand them out if I detect genuine interest.

I've read his books and he has a GREAT grasp on the Framers' intent. He also warns against using unsubstantiated quotes like the phony "liberty teeth" one from Washington or the "Hitler quote". Both have been disproven as was the one attributed to Sarah Brady.

He keeps the target in sight.
