I really like the addition of the Scales on the top of the page, and the Spell Check feature on the bottom! :)

Carole, You hit it on the head! It's also refreshing to see that you utilized your high school year book photo, as an Avatar! :D

I have to assume that you folks have a nice, warm, calm household, and you only confront each other with your laptops... :D

Sadly, no. We're just as weird in person as we are online. Though it probably is strange to hear us as we sit in the living room, each with our own laptop computer, plotting and planning the next attack on one another. We even laugh and talk about what we're posting as we're posting it.
Our home is a crazy home. LOL

...so, you DO confront each other only with your laptops!
Well your way is better than ours!
Unless... those laptops, how heavy are they?

I'd even go so far as to say we are weirder in person. In real life, we're not limited by behavioral constraints. :D

We confront each other with and without laptops. :D
And Tom is right - we are probably better behaved here because the rules keep us in check. At home, in person, the only rule is that there are no rules. (Okay ... really there are rules ... but our language is a bit coarser in real life).

You guys sound all right... here, my wife and I occasionally confront each other with lawnmowers...

I never touch lawnmowers. Tom considers those his personal domain (or is it nemesis?) so I stay far away from the power tools. :D I am, though, pretty evil with a large mug of ice water.

You guys need your own reality show! I would certainly watch :)

Yeah, let's not talk about lawnmowers. :(

If Obama's accomplishes his mission, you'll be using Hammers & Sickles instead of Lawnmowers! :(

I suppose that I understand the reference here; "Hammer & Sickle"

Yes, using the plural, as both sides would be armed!

Sorry I'm confused, are we still talking about my wife and I and alternatives to fighting with lawnmowers?
What's your lawnmower trouble, Tom? Mine is that, even though my machines are 99.9% reliable, the factory in Italy than assembled them went under 5 years ago, so the 0.1% of reliability that I have to deal with involves parts that don't exist anymore... unless the 0.1% ever has to do with the Briggs&Stratton engines - which it never does.

I am confused, in that your guys are not getting the intended pun! Nor can I comprehend how a "Scales and Spell Check Thread" turned into lawnmower battles, parts and reliability.:)
Sorry, He------> :eb: made me do it!

My lawnmower is simply evil. It's only two years old, but I had to replace the ignition module because I wasn't getting any juice to the spark plug. Then the darn thing drains the gas tank empty because the float in the carburetor isn't working properly. I already put $50 into the thing and I hadn't even used it this season! So I bought a $10 fuel shutoff valve and stuck it in the fuel line so when I'm not using the mower I can simply cut off the gas supply.

Wow... Bad luck! Mines don't have shut-offs either, but they seem to be OK.
I thought one of them was giving me engine trouble a while back, but it turned out that the gas I was using was 8 months old... so instead of 95 octanes, it probably had less than 85. Other than that, I swear by B&S! I just have to take out the spark plugs at the beginning of the season to blow them clean, and then my babies run across the grass just fine...
I did have one rather disconcerting moment with one of them, when the blade snapped off and clawed itself in the ground... I have been more scared than that in my life, but not much more... fortunately, they do tend to fly straight down!
Kinda evil too, though, ain't it?
