This is very important that we all stay very active state by state to make sure that our politicians understand were we stand on this "back door" gun control legislation.

To the best of my knowledge, this legislation has died in every instance. In my state, it never even got off the ground, and I know there are several other states that it never came close to fruition.

I hope that remains the case in each state. I do believe on a Federal level that Holder sees this as a area that can be exploited.

A couple of questions. First, how would that account for the thousands of rounds of old surplus ammo people are sitting on? Second, how would that help trace factory or reloads? And on the note of reloading, what keeps someone from taking the rounds appart and using components bought elsewhere or that they themselves make?

My understanding is they would be grandfathered for a period of time and then become "unlawful"

As far as reloading I believe it is their intent to make that "unlawful" too.

From what I understand is that all non-numbered ammo would have to be turned in. It would be illegal to shoot it, if you were caught with it jail.
Reloading would be prohibited.
