I was surprised at the source also, they are not known for their common sense at times.

It was well written and it also appears to be well received by the people that the paper actually serves.

Well, that was a breath of fresh air after reading all of the gun control articles and watching 20/20 and 60 minutes, and it did come from a very liberal part of the country from a professor at probably a liberal institution. Its nice to read something that is well written and shows that there is still some common sense out there....

Wow, just read the comments from the article....that is really amazing to see so much support. Wonder if that is local support or internet support from all over,,,nice to see it nonetheless

I did a term paper on "gun control" and the statistics showed that three fourhs of crimes committed were by previous offenders. I can't find this paper, unfortunately.
Before I switched to DSL, Outdoors Unlimited was my ISP, and they would post some very good articles on their Home Page. The were Pro-gun and the reason I took so long to change.

Four police officers dead, because this individual should have been in lock-up.
