Andrew Spano, the FORMER Westchester County Executive, got the door in November. Now let's see if we can get the gun shows back to Yonkers Raceway and the White Plains Center. Both shows brought in lots of money for the community and boosted the shooting sports. NO straw purchases (half the dealers were cops) and tight security. :appld:
As soon as Columbine went down Spano leaped at the chance to posture for the media and close the shows.

Maybe people in that neck of the woods are starting to wake up.

Westchester County, NY is a liberal MECCA. Except for the FEW who work with their hands ( and I DON'T mean making ceramics or artists) most are fully indoctrinated 3rd and 4th generation FDR/LBJ/Carter/Clinton liberals. That is until their lawns get shredded by deer or their $98k Benz gets carjacked. :butthead:

THREE gun shows at the County Center since we launched Spano into obscurity. More to follow. Sometimes the good guys do win.

Did he depart voluntarily or was he sacked? "Got the door" implies the latter. Was he merely incompetent, or was he caught with his fingers in the till?

The residents had had enough of his high-handed elitist attitudes. He was the Italian-American version of Philly's Nutter re: guns and liberty.

My Mom's stepfather was an Italian and he loved to watch the fights from Madison Square Garden, and he had an expression that is appropriate:
"Throw the bum out"

Prior to Nutter, there was Ed Rendell who went on to be the PA Governor who vetoed the Castle Doctrine. One of the most vocal anti-gun groups is the Brady Campaign. Clinton gave us the Assault Weapons ban. Mayor Bloomberg heads the Mayors Against Guns group. None of whom are Italian decent.
Being an Italian American has little to do with one's position on gun control. However, ethnicity associated with an anti-gun stance, can be a highly divisive subject on a Pro Gun Rights Forum.
