Last week the Chancery Court for Davidson County, Tennessee ruled that the restaurant carry law that allows holders of a concealed weapons permit to carry in restaurants that serve alchohol is unconstitutionally vague because of a perceived ambiguity over the states definition of restaurants. Right to carry permit holders in Tennessee need to refrain from carrying in restaurants until this is resolved by appeal.

Hmmm. Seems like the ambiguity should be interpreted in favor of the people till resolved. First, why should the people bear the brunt of the state's lack of clarity, even temporarily. Second, if the interim solution is more infringement, then for those who might favor infringement there is an incentive to drag things out so people are deprived of their rights over a longer period of time. Sounds like bad policy to give bad people incentive to do bad things.
