The Californis Governor vetoed SB585 which would have banned gun shows at the cow palace. This is a hollow victory in my opinion because they got AB962 passed which is far more restrictive and onerous to law abiding gun owners

Yeah, he picked up his more Constitutionally aware pen a couple times this week. He also vetoed a law prohibiting the sale of those electronic tobacco free cigarettes (and even then only because the prohibition wasn't limited to minors -- is there anything this guy thinks isn't the business of the government?). Whoop-de-do.
