Toronto police conducted sweeeps throughout the city looking for guns that registrations were expired or guns that had become banned/illegal. Of course, since Canada has mandatory registration, the police new just where to go.

I'd read about this too. Just one more example of picking on those who try to comply with the law while those who don't get off scot free. It's an obvious symptom that there's something wrong with the law, when those in greater compliance get more grief from it.

On top of that the RCMP released the names of gun owners in the long gun registry to a polling outfit so it could conduct a poll. Just goes to show, if you want to spread private personal information, just give it to a government. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
