Notice her last statement "she will pick the time". We must stay vigilant, keep in mind when politicians say one thing they often do the opposite.

I don't believe her when she says they will wait. They want to try to ram it through before the midterm elections for sure. Their control of congress is not really that strong now and I think it will continue to erode. As D90 says we need to stay vigilent and active.

what she means, is that as soon as there is an incident, analogous to that kindergarten shooting in Scotland a few years back, they will strike.

We will surely see more nonsense from Congress see the light of day. What I think she is saying is, no way in heck we can muster the votes to do anything so we're stuck for now.

The votes are not there so "now is not the time"........ If the votes were there it would sound something like this" we must address these military rifles running around our streets and neighborhoods killing our children".

Here is a Feinstein Quote About 60 some odd democrats that are not in favor of gun control and the NRA influence that I thought was interesting:
"The NRA has a stranglehold on Congress"
The NRA would not have the strength of power it has without the millions of people who support the NRA through memberships to help protect our gunrights, thus the NRA is doing what Congress is not...supporting its members and their beliefs, so that should tell her and Congress how important gun rights are to American citizens...

The anti-gun politicians and media refer to the NRA as if it were some large coporation owned by the gun industry. The reality is that the NRA is an association of citizens numbering in the Millions.

In my opinion the NRA needs to do more and step up sometimes against "common sense" gun control. It is also becoming more important that our voices are heard. www.congress.org is a great place to start.

The best place to start, is with your local congressman. As Tip O'Neal said many years ago, "All politics is local".
Email, snail mail, and phone calls are what gets attention.

It has been my policy for years and I have actually used hand delivered methods before.
I have found that phone calls work best in most cases. Certified mail is also effective....
