Sacramento Co Sheriff says unable to protect public due to lack of resources. Sheriff says may be necessary to look at applications for cwp in a different light. More permits may be the appropriate thing to do. Read about it here:

On the one hand, he's right if you focus very tightly on the issue. But step back for a little perspective and think about the very fact that sheriffs in CA have the authority to decide which persons are worthy of their Constitutional rights, and further the fact that most Sheriffs admit OPENLY they've been abusing the power! It gives you a little perspective on how far off the rails we've gotten.
