OK my Grandfathers neighbors (Duplex) came home around midnight and where beating on the walls my grandfathers told them to knock it off. they then told him to shut up or they would beat him. He calls the local LEO's and grabs his Pellet gun and stays Inside his house.
LEO's Show up tell neighbors to quiet down and goes to talk to my grandfather. Long story short LEO's walk in see the pellet gun and take it and grandfather is told he can not get it back. No receipt no ticket they just take it . and now we are told it was destroyed not even 3 days after this? any help

There are cities that have laws that make BB/Pellet guns illegal. Phila Pa is one of them. I would research the statute of the municipality that it occurred in and see if in fact that is the case here. It was designed to prevent law enforcement from mistaking a child with a BB gun for a "child" with a real gun.
Where did this occur in Michigan?
I would find it odd, that if it was prohibited that they would not have arrested him. It very well could be due to his age that they decided to just confiscate it.
Golden rule here is not to invite LEO into your home.

It was Owosso Mi in Shiawasse County and no they are not prohibited other than age requirement to buy. I am thinking it went home with some one.

I would contact the Sheriffs dept (or whatever agency that is responsible for it) for that area, followed by a call to the States Attorney.
If they "stole" it, then they need to be held accountable. If there is not a law that prohibits them, then they abused their power and need to be held accountable.
They have no authority to enter his home and remove his private property.
Take action!
