District Attorney Candidate Richard M. Aborn, a candidate for the Democratic nomination unveils Gun Platform
The plan calls for a "regional interdiction" approach to gun trafficking; more gun buyback programs and a program in which parents could give the police permission to search homes for guns; a requirement that pistols sold in New York include micro-stamping technology; a five-year renewal process for handgun permits; and support for a "national gun-control" strategy.

New York politicians tend to extend their area of influence on the region and in national politics. The Wal Mart store in Pike County Pa, near the border of NY State has removed all of it's firearms. Due to the pressure exerted by NY City (located 70 miles away) we must show a Non-NY Drivers License, in order to to purchase ammo.
