Our government is in a reactionary mode of operation. Just like prior to 9/11 - our agencies had viable information that a planned attack by airliners was possible and yet nothing of major importance was done until after. No protection just reaction. And the same type of mindset exists to this date.
Anyone can carry a bag into an airport and then it is checked. WRONG - all bags must be checked prior to entering a building.
We have the technology but boots on the ground is still the best way to prevent illegal border crossings - the combination of the two could be a barrier to such illegal activity.

There will be another attack on American soil - as the hatred of our ways is mounting with each day around the world in areas that do not believe in what we stand for. Until the full force of the American people is put upon Washington D.C. to PROTECT will anything be done.

At the end of WWI - illegal immigrants were deported to make jobs available for returning military and support personnel. Same thing at the end of WWII. We are at WAR and our government acts like it's another beautiful day in the neighborhood. We need to PROTECT our country and taking a protectionist stance is the right way to go about it. Some of the world's wealthy will condemn a protectionist stance but if we are to survive we need to shut out all of those who do not believe in our system and conform to the ways of our republic. Yes it is a strong stance to take but it is a needed one.
