For the first time in a Pew Research survey, nearly as many people believe it is more important to protect the right of Americans to own guns (45%) than to control gun ownership (49%). As recently as a year ago, 58% said it was more important to control gun ownership while 37% said it was more important to protect the right to own guns.

It would be interesting to know what the 45% mean by protecting the right to own guns. Does this mean the 12 gauge goose gun in the closet or the "evil assault rifle?"

You appear to be looking for a black cloud on a sunny day! I did not post the Pew Study, as it also contains information that we may not discuss in here! However, I suggest folks do a google search for "Pew Study on Gun Control" and check the questions asked and revel in the fact that the pro-gun vote jumped from 32% in 2007 to 45% in 2009. While those in favor of Gun Control went down from 60% in 2007 to 49% in 2009. The trend is in our favor, the poll shows that in the year 2000, 66% were in favor of Gun
Control.
In fact, the ambiguous question in the poll is "Control Gun Ownership" which in some folks minds may mean, simply keeping guns out of felons and the mentally ill hands!
The opposite question " Protect Gun Owners Rights" is much less ambiguous!

Funny.
Nine in black robes stole justice out of my, and my family's hands a couple of years ago, because of their newly "evolved" interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.
State's rights are, ultimately, irrelevant.
I hope to God it never happens to you.....but the fact is the confiscation of your guns is only a stroke of the pen away.

I guess you are "right wing extremist", oh well.
I got a funny sticker from Mark LaRarue with a recent order, it read "Extremely Right Wing"

Patrick,
Just as an example:
How much more do the people have to do to let our government know that the flood of illegals is killing us? How many years has this gone on? How much more statistics do they need? What has been done?
No one wants to touch it....if you move against it, you're racist. If you move for it, you're giving our country away.
So, what has happened on this in the last four years?
NOTHING.
In politics, everyone wants to go to heaven. Problem is, no one wants to die.
