The bill is even more restricting than the posted article implies, it's not limited to just stores. It would prohibit internet/mail order sales and the transfer of more than 50 rounds of ammunintion without being a licensed vendor, even among family members.

I have never understood how a state that has close to a 50 billion dollar deficit, keeps electing the lawmakers that think up this garbage.....

We, the state of California as a whole, keep electing people like this because most people in this state are ignorant about firearms, and generally favor gun control, of not outright confiscation. Gun owners are a minority in California, and are easily vilified. Keep in mind that this is a state in which there are no state-wide offices held by Republican politicians. Liberal Democrats own California.

That said, AB 962 has passed out of committee, and is not in the Assembly Appropriations Committee, one step closer to the Assembly floor. It is time to contact your representative to oppose this bill.

It would be interesting to see when that trend started and when the actual decline in gun ownership began...
