It would be Very Funny, if it were no so True! When I was in grade school, there were as many as 54 kids in a class. I don't recall one case of ADD or a student daring to disrupt the class. All fist fights took place after school and if a Police car happened along, they would only intercede when there was an appearent loser.

Philly neighborhoods, meant community protection. Every family looked out for one another, our front door was never locked until everyone in the home was in bed. The few times that strangers attempted to commit a crime, they never make it out of the neighborhood. It was one big family, where any adult could correct a child who was acting up, without any fear of repercussion.

I lived on a very narrow street of 36 homes, 18 attached to each other on each side of the street. I have often remarked that in the 15 years that I lived on that street, a Police Car was called to the street only once. And that incident was for a man beating is wife inside of their home.

The Good Old Days!

I know many valid reasons for home schooling! Pennsylvania has a Public School Supported, Home Schooling Internet Program. The School System provides a Lap Top to every student.

Not so funny because, unfortunately, much of it is true. I knew of a case a while back where a respected drama teacher was goofing around with the kids and gave one a "clown kick;" i.e., basically putting her foot to the student's behind. Mama thought it was demeaning and filed a criminal complaint. After much convincing and gnashing of teeth, the complaint was finally dismissed by the prosecutor.

Thank goodness Common Sense (eventually) prevailed.

A year or so ago, local HS, kid A was blindsided by kid B. Kid A then decked kid B. Both were suspended.

I remember my fighting on the High School stairway. Nobody said boo. After a bit we got tired of it and walked away. End of story.

Kids used to bring cheap handguns to school to show their buddies. Not wave them around but, showed in private at locker.

Im showing my young age but. In 2000 I was in high school we has a 40’s day for English. We were supposed to dress up like someone from the 40’s. So I dressed up like a mobster. Pin stripe suit, big hat with a feather, Leather 1911 shoulder holsters (no gun) and a violin case . No one had a problem and I won the contest but one of the teachers had a HUGE problem with me wearing Shoulder holsters to school. She called the principle and made a big fuss. Long story short she made me leave my jacket on so it would not frighten the other kids.

Another story. There was a research project for school so I chose to do it on German weapons of ww2. No problem the teacher approved it. A few days later I got a call to come see the principle. So when I got there he had the research that I was doing on the guns. One of my other teachers saw the blueprints to a Walther PP sitting on my desk and sent them to the principle. I told them it was for a school project. And they got a kick out of it. I guess they thought I was going to shoot up the school or something. It’s just a example of the paranoid in the school system.

When there is no one who will stand up and fight for their rights, all that's left are the sniveling busybodies who make it their business to make everyone as paranoid and miserable as they are. Well, they made it that way:
No guns here to defend ourselves with. Might as well wait for the cops while we're shot at...

Rant over;)
