Quote from your link:

"There is a difference between someone using deadly force in self-defense when his or her life is threatened and someone using deadly force when there is no threat. Sheer said the victim deserves the benefit of the doubt."

Sheer is a defense attorney. Is he referring to the robber who is shot or the robbee as the victim?

I have seen several articles about pizza delivery drivers being fired for carrying. If this keeps up the pizza companies are going to run out of drivers and will have to rethink their policies. :)
