666 Posts and the devil has yet to raise his ugly head!

I reprint a post that I made on m1911.org As I believe it important to remember that people from around the globe will be reading our posts.

Personally, I welcome the opportunity to debate, with the sole intent of changing one's opinion. Or at the least softening their anti-gun opinion. Those who are Troll's and come in with an intent to purposely harass, I assume will be dealt with as they are in here!

If we maintain the right mindset. Not attempting to score blows or hurl insults, debating as ladies and gentleman. We will prevail in the eyes of viewers who are undecided or believe that gun owners are a crazed fringe element of society.

We as an Association, possess the talent and intelligence to make a positive impact. I sincerely believe, that we will win the opinion of some, and not lose anyone who is currently Pro-Gun Rights.

As the old saying goes, the world is a stage and we are the performers. That fact is especially true on the Internet.

As I have said before, usually people are "anti" based upon "feelings" not facts. When they are presented with facts in a respectful manner they are usually easy to disarm, no pun intended. :)

If we are able to discuss our beliefs in a respectful manner the truth is on our side and it makes the discussion quite easy. I think the key is that we all need to learn to discuss our ideas, not try and shove them down peoples throat. When we speak respectfully they listen, when we scream they "shut down".

Those who attempt to argue a point without the foundation of fact are those who scream the loudest using the foulest language. The dimwitted so often demand we provide proof of our pro-gun stance because we forget the same of them. Our position has proof, though many of us don't have it immediately available sometimes, but their position is entirely, and without exception, bankrupt of same.

Their position being Bankrupt! Some in Government are attempting to bail them out!
